Sliding Door Window Treatments

Sliding door window treatments are a newer style of treatment that is become more common as modern houses almost always include a sliding door, usually a full window, that leads to their backyard our elsewhere. These treatments have to be specialized for this particular application because people are constantly drawing these treatments to move in and out of the home. Nonetheless, these products are necessary to help control the lighting in a room and to help decorate its overall appearance as well.

Most people are familiar with the standard blinds that most homes usually use. This type of blind is a vertical model wherein the blinds can be rotated to control the amount of light and then slid to allow access to the sliding door. These products are by far the most practical style of model as they are hard to damage and are easily controlled. But for many, this type of product reminds them heavily of office buildings and other less homey atmospheres that they find unpleasant. Luckily there are many more types of products available as well to help these people find what they are looking for.

More common today is the basic drape, which functions just like a window drape, but is sized for a sliding glass door instead. A combination product, which incorporates vertical blinds and drapes, is also available and finds the middle ground between practicality and style. Panel track blinds are very similar to free hanging vertical blinds, but runs on a floor track. This product is less practical, but is a special style that many people enjoy.
